Believe in CLE and Inner Bliss Yoga Studio are proud to partner with Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center.

Please watch this video from Brandi, Laura's Home graduate, on the life-changing care she received!

Quick facts from the folks who manage Laura’s Home:

  • In the month of June alone we served 6,680 meals at Laura's Home. 4,301 of the mealswere just for the children living in our care

  • $2.88 will provide a meal for a resident in crisis.

  • Laura's Home has been at capacity for nearly a decade, with 77 women and children turned away each day.

  • We are building one of Cleveland's first Transitional Housing for mothers and children. Set to be completed in December, four new units will safely house 16 mothers and their children. Each family will remain on campus, giving children the stability of remaining in the same school and receiving supportive care on campus, while mothers have the gift of time to build their income.

  • According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, the two-bedroom wage in Cleveland is now $21.31.  A mother would need to work 82 hours/week at minimum wage ($10.45) to afford a two-bedroom at fair market rent in greater Cleveland.

  • Today Laura's Home is serving 27 single women, 31 mothers, and 68 children.

  • The City Mission relies on donors to continue our care, with 0.84 of every dollar going directly to resident programming.

  • It is during the summer months when our funding drops to the lowest levels, and when the need for serving more children who are out of school for the summer increases.

    • We provide summer programming, field trips and off-site activities for our children.

  • Currently, more than 50% of our residents have experienced domestic violence.

  • The average age of someone experiencing homelessness is 11 years old, and the Pathways program at Laura’s Home seeks to offer trauma-informed care to every child.

  • Last year, The City Mission served 991 individuals and provided over 73,000 nights of shelter.
