What are Nooma's ties to Cleveland and why have you stayed here?
We were born, raised, and launched our company here! Not only is Cleveland home for us but it's been instrumental for our business. When we first launched NOOMA so many people assumed we would set up operations in a major city like L.A. or somewhere known for health and fitness.
But launching and keeping NOOMA in Cleveland provides us so many benefits from our connections and network, the openness of the Cleveland business community that allowed us to quickly get our product on shelves and in hands, to the real difference of having family around to support you when you're on the journey of starting a small business that can be so demanding.
Thoughts on the Cleveland market for Nooma or plans to grow here?
We feel like the market is only growing and has so much to offer. It's a place we know we can continue to grow our business and our team.
What has inspired you to keep coming back to the Believe in CLE event?
Believe in CLE represents what the Cleveland community is all about to us. It's people that are proud to be from here to provide support for each other and not be boxed into all those fun stereotypes we love about being from Cleveland. We love being a part of it!
